Lucky strike houston6/12/2023 Overall, Lucky Strike Houston is a good place to go for some downtown entertainment. It isn’t our fault that the offer was no longer valid and that the staff forgot to remove the ads. At the very least, you should always honor the price, at least this once, to keep customers happy. We felt this was tacky and unprofessional. He then proceeded to take the ad and throw it behind the bar. When we inquired on ordering one of these specially priced drinks, the bartender refused, telling us this offer wasn’t good any longer. They had advertisements on the bar stating that the price for certain drinks was reduced for happy hour. With the service, we did have one issue that I must mention because it was uncalled for and the management needs to know. Prices are a tad high, but this is to be expected in downtown Houston. I liked the sliders and fries, as they paired very well with my selected beer. We played darts when we visited and also ordered some drinks and food. Looking at the other areas at Lucky Strike Lanes, one will find a large cocktail lounge and darts, pool tables, ping pong, and shuffleboard. The area where the lanes are located is a little on the dark side and could use additional lighting, but it’s otherwise okay. They only have a small number of lanes- 14, I believe- but it is still a fun way to pass the time. Lucky Strike Lanes is best known for its bowling. Such is the case with Lucky Strike Lanes, a bowling alley, lounge, and more, situated above ground level in downtown. Downtown Houston has much in the way of entertainment, some of which is hidden away and unknown to most people, including locals.
